TechCollect NZ partners with The Warehouse Group to add six new e-waste drop-off sites

TCNZ announced the expansion of its national programme network with the addition of six new e-waste drop-off sites via participating Warehouse Stationery stores.

Michael Dudley, Senior Policy Manager for TCNZ: "Special thanks to our partners at The Warehouse Group for helping us forge the way towards Aotearoa's circular e-waste future. The addition of six Warehouse Stationery stores to our national network means Kiwis have even greater access to free recycling options for their unwanted and end-of-life ICT equipment."

The new drop-off sites included:

E-waste is one of the fastest growing waste streams in the world, with the average Kiwi generating more than 21 kg each year. It is estimated nearly 100,000 tonnes of e-waste is generated in New Zealand annually.

Accepted e-waste items for free drop-off include computers, laptops, notebooks, tablets, palmtops, CRT monitors and projectors, LCD and flat panel monitors, printers, scanners, multi-functional devices, cameras, video cameras and computer peripherals including power supplies and adaptors.
