Which describes your situation?

We serve both NZ-based sustainability and marketing teams, and regional or global ESG leads. Select your context below.

Your NZ team needs a sustainability story it can tell all year

Not just through occasional one-off events. TechCollect NZ provides an always-on, nationally coordinated e-waste collection network — co-branded, certified, and community-connected.

Always-on national footprint

41+ drop-off sites you can promote year-round — not just on event days. Your brand is visible at the point of recycling, every day the store is open.

Co-branding at major retailers

Your brand is named as a member at Warehouse Group and Noel Leeming locations nationwide. In-store presence that reaches consumers at the moment of action.

A talkable community story

Grassroots, regional, rural reach. The story becomes "[Your Brand] and TechCollect NZ" — a national, always-on initiative with community heart.

Monthly certified reporting

Certified data on items collected, weight diverted, and environmental impact — ready to use in NZ sustainability communications and annual reports.

Regulatory positioning

Regulated e-product stewardship is progressing in NZ. Members already in the scheme will be best placed when it arrives — with data, infrastructure, and relationships in place.

Branded collection events

Layer your own branded e-waste collection days on top of the always-on scheme. The national infrastructure is already there.

Already working with a local recycler? TechCollect NZ adds the national coordination layer on top — always-on consumer drop-off, certified standards at every site, co-branding, and regulatory positioning. Your existing recycler relationship and TechCollect membership can work together.

Your NZ market has no certified, always-on end-of-life pathway

TechCollect NZ provides one — giving your global sustainability team the documented proof they need and positioning your brand ahead of regulated product stewardship.

Scope 3 and circular economy reporting

Measurable, certified diversion from landfill — reportable against Scope 3 and circular economy commitments. Monthly data formatted for global ESG disclosure.

Certified recycling network

All items processed by R2v3 or AS/NZS 5377 certified recyclers. Documented, auditable chain of custody from drop-off to material recovery.

Audit-ready documentation

Certified collection and processing records for NZ market compliance. Closes the gap before global head office audits flag NZ as uncovered.

Aligned with WEEE standards

A partner aligned with international WEEE categories 2, 5, and 6 — familiar territory for global ESG teams mapping NZ compliance to existing frameworks.

Pathway to regulated compliance

NZ regulated e-product stewardship is progressing. TechCollect NZ has submitted its accreditation application. Members shape the system — they do not just comply with it.

The 70% gap, closed

Brands with mature programmes still estimate 70%+ of NZ retail sales volume has no tracked end-of-life pathway. TechCollect fills exactly that gap — always on, at retail, nationwide.

Questions we hear most often

"We already work with a local recycler."
A single recycler relationship is a good start — but it is not a national scheme. Many of our certified downstream partners are recyclers brands already use independently. Joining TechCollect NZ adds the national coordination layer: always-on consumer drop-off, consistent certified standards at every site, national data reporting, and regulatory positioning. Your existing recycler relationship and TechCollect membership can work side by side.
"Our head office manages recycling globally — we're covered."
Global programmes rarely extend to certified always-on local collection across a geographically isolated market like New Zealand. TechCollect NZ fills that gap with a nationally coordinated service that generates the certified local data your global programme needs. We complement your existing framework — we do not replace it.
"How does our brand get heard in a multi-brand scheme?"
TechCollect positions member brands prominently. In-store at Warehouse Group and Noel Leeming locations, members are named as sponsoring partners. We credit members across our website, social channels, and council communications. Members can layer their own branded collection days on top of the always-on scheme. The story becomes "[Your Brand] and TechCollect NZ."
"We're waiting to see what happens with regulation."
Regulated product stewardship for e-products is progressing in New Zealand. TechCollect NZ has submitted its accreditation application and the independent assessment is complete. Members already in the scheme will be best placed when regulation arrives — with data, infrastructure, and relationships already in place. Early members also help shape the framework, not just comply with it.
"We already run our own collection — we have our own channels and certifications."
What you've built is genuinely impressive — and it proves you understand the problem. The question is what happens to the product your end-user consumer buys at retail, takes home, and replaces two years later. That device does not come back through your service network. TechCollect NZ fills exactly that gap — always on, at retail, nationwide. Your existing programme and TechCollect membership cover different populations of product. Together, they complete the picture.
